"Our test was run on pump shafts and teflon lip seals for a total of 636 hours at 1800 RPM at 200 PSI.  At this point we disassembled our pump.  The industrial chrome shaft showed signs of wear almost through the .003" layer of chrome.  The Electrochemically Metallized area showed only a witness of a wear mark, but not enough to measure.  We are extremely pleased with the results of our test and are looking at many metallizing applications that we could have done in the past."
